Microsoft 365 knowledge agents

The answers your team needs are usually already in SharePoint and Teams. A knowledge agent finds them, cites the source, and stays inside what that person is allowed to open. We build it over the libraries you choose, not over the entire tenant, and we test it on the questions your staff actually ask.

What's included

  • Library selection with the owners of the content: what is in scope, and what is out
  • Ingestion, chunking, and retrieval over SharePoint, Teams, and approved file libraries
  • Answers with citations back to the source document
  • Permission trimming so a user only receives content they can already open in Microsoft 365
  • Sensitivity-label handling, designed with the labels you already use or a starter set
  • A fallback that says the agent does not know, instead of inventing an answer
  • An evaluation set from real staff questions, scored before go-live
  • Delivery in the place people already work, typically Teams
  • A content-owner runbook for adding and retiring libraries

How we work

01

Scope

A fixed statement of work: what we will do, what you receive, and the timeline. Agreed before any work starts.

02

Execute

We do the work in your tenant with least-privilege access, with updates at defined checkpoints, not radio silence.

03

Hand off

Documentation, runbooks, and a walkthrough so your team can operate what we built.

Microsoft 365 Knowledge Agents: common questions

Is this Microsoft 365 Copilot?

No. Copilot is a Microsoft license. This is an agent we build over the libraries you name, with citations and the permissions already in Entra ID. If you also license Copilot, we will say where it is enough and where this agent is the better fit.

Can it show someone a document they should not see?

Retrieval is limited to the libraries in scope, and each answer is trimmed to what the signed-in user can already open. Sensitivity labels are part of the design.

What content can it use?

SharePoint sites, Teams files, and other approved libraries. We do not point it at all of Microsoft 365 by default. Email and personal drives stay out unless a workflow specifically needs them.

What happens when it does not know?

It says so, and it cites what it did find. The evaluation set is built from questions your team actually asks, so "I do not know" is a tested outcome, not a surprise.
