Azure Virtual Desktop & Windows 365: common questions

AVD or Windows 365 - which is right for us?

Windows 365 is a fixed per-user Cloud PC, simple to budget. AVD is multi-session and more tunable on cost at scale. Many clients use both, by user group - the fit assessment is the first step.

Will it be expensive to run?

AVD cost is controllable with multi-session hosts and autoscaling, and we model it before deployment. Windows 365 is a predictable per-seat licence.

Can it meet compliance requirements?

Yes - session data stays in Azure, with Conditional Access, encryption, and no company data on the local endpoint. It is a common answer to "contractors must not hold our data locally."
